Instructions

Arlington Housing Authority to Accept Applications for its Housing Choice Voucher Program starting 9:00 a.m., April 26, 2024 through 3:00 p.m., May 2, 2024

Applicants currently on the WaitList from prior Open Enrollments will be terminated from the WaitList and must re-apply during this Open Enrollment period.
 
The Arlington Housing Authority (AHA) will accept online applications for its Housing Choice Voucher program April 26, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. CST through May 2, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. CST.  
 
The AHA will only accept applications submitted electronically via the WaitListCheck website.  To ensure the application process is fair and available to all, applications received will be randomly assigned their position on the WaitList, subject to local preferences.  Time and date of application will not be used to establish an applicant’s position on the WaitList. You can apply any time during the Open Enrollment period.  
 
All active applicants currently on the WaitList will be notified, using their last known email address, to advise that their applications from a prior open enrollment will be terminated effective April 19, 2024, and they must re-apply – no exceptions. 
 
All applicants must have an active email address to apply. If you have an email account, you can use what you currently have.  If you do not, free email accounts are available through websites such as Google https://www.google.com/gmail/about/ or Yahoo. (The AHA does not endorse any provider). The email provided on the application will be used to communicate with the applicant throughout the year. It is important that applicants maintain an active email account and check correspondence frequently.
 
Applicants that do not have access to a computer may use computers located at an Arlington Public Library.  Applicants with a physical disability who need assistance can contact the AHA during the open enrollment period at 817-276-6722.
 
Apply for Housing Choice Voucher Program between April 26, 2024 9:00 am, and May 2, 2024 3:00 pm:
1. Scroll down and select “Get Started” at the bottom of the page to register or login to WaitlistCheck
2. Once registered, answer all questions on the application and submit electronically.
3. Once submitted, your confirmation receipt will be emailed to you (which provides your important PIN #) and keep a copy in a safe place for future reference.  Your PIN # is required to check the status of your application, make changes, and to receive information and notices from AHA. 

There are no fees associated with applying to the list and that any website requesting a fee in order to apply are not legitimate and not related to the Housing Authority.
