BROCKTON HOUSING AUTHORITY 

FEDERAL FAMILY WAITING LIST OPENING


How to apply: 

Applications will be accepted online 24 hours a day during the dates listed above.  You will need to create an account.  You must have an email address or phone number to complete the Preliminary Application.  This Preliminary Application must be submitted electronically using this system to create a receipt of application. 

If you require a special accommodation, paper applications are available upon request by calling 508-427-9000.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, no walk-ins will be accepted.

Information needed:

Names, Social Security numbers, birth dates and income for everyone in the household.

Eligibility:  

To be eligible to apply for housing you must meet the following criteria:

Head of Household must be adult 18 years old or older

One (1) person in the household must be an eligible citizen

Household must meet income limits established by HUD

Completing an application does not guarantee placement on the waitlist.  Not all household who apply will be eligible.  The final waitlist will be determined using a random lottery.  

Waitlist lottery results are final and are not subject to appeal.  

Applications chosen during the lottery will be randomly assigned a lottery number and will be ranked using the following preferences noted below. 

Resident of Brockton, Massachusetts

Employment – Employed a minimum of 30 Hours per week

62 years of age and/or Disabled

Final program eligibility will be determined when selected and processed for housing assistance.  

When your name reaches the top of the waiting list you will be contacted for an eligibility interview and all the information stated on the application will be verified at that time.

Applicants are responsible for any change of information.  If we are unable to contact you at the address provided, you will be removed from the waitlist.
