The Willimantic Housing Authority (WHA) will be accepting Preliminary Applications to be
selected in a random selection lottery. A lottery will be held the last day of each month the
waitlists are open, for the applications received during that month. Applications will be accepted
for the following properties:
Elderly and Disabled Housing:
--- John Ashton Towers / Wilbur Cross Apartments - 1 Bedroom Units
--- Father Honan Terrace - 1 Bedroom Units
To qualify for admission to the above complexes an applicant must
be 62 years of age or disabled.
The Section 8 Voucher Program waitlists and family housing waiting lists are currently CLOSED.
Applicants must meet income limits and eligibility requirements. A description of all Housing
Authority properties can be viewed at WillimanticHousingAuthority.org.

Between Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. and Friday, February 26, 2021 at 11:59 p.m.
No paper applications will be accepted.
Appointments can be scheduled to assist applicants in submitting on-line applications by phone, if they
are unable to complete an application on their own. Please contact the WHA office at
860-456-1413 to schedule an appointment.
Maximum Income Levels based on family size are as follows:
* 1 Person - $54,950 * 2 Persons - $62,800

Only one pre-application per family, per property, will be accepted; if duplicate pre-applications are submitted for one household; duplicate pre-applications will be disqualified.
The following information will be needed to complete this pre-application:
* Date of birth for all applicants
* Social Security numbers (Opt-out option for mixed families)
* Legal and/or mailing address
* Income information (i.e. - wages, child support, social security benefits, etc.)
After you have successfully applied, you should print the confirmation page that appears on the last page of the process, as proof of your submission to be entered into the lottery. All eligible applications will be entered into the lottery to determine placement on the waiting list. Once they are placed on the waiting list, the applicant will have an active status on the www.waitlistcheck.com website AFTER the 10th of the month following the month they applied. NO INFORMATION REGARDING APPLICATION STATUS WILL BE GIVEN OUT OVER THE PHONE.
All correspondence with applicants will be by mail. It is important to update any change in your address within 14 days of the change. Failure to respond to any written correspondence, from our office, will result in your application being placed in an inactive status.
