Applicants needing assistance to complete their application can contact Terrell Housing at (972) 551-6600 ext. 3555 from 9 – 4 pm, Monday – Friday to set up an appointment.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or an emancipated minor at the time of application.
After the waiting list has closed, a lottery will be conducted to select 2000 applicants from the applications received. In the lottery process, applicants meeting the local preferences will be targeted first.
Terrell Housing preferences include the following:
- Persons with a disability
- Persons 62 years of age or older
- Families with children
- Veterans
- Victims of Domestic Violence
- Local Preference
Applicants will be added to the Waiting List based on preferences, and date and time of application.
Housing assistance is contingent on eligibility for the program and available funding.
Application status and information regarding placement on the waiting list will be available online at www.waitlistcheck.com after June 27, 2025.
Falsification of application is grounds for denial of admission to the program.
Note: Application status indicates active or inactive. If the status indicates "active" you are on the waiting list. If it indicates "inactive," your application was not selected in the lottery and you are not on the waiting list and will have to reapply when the list opens in the future.
