The following original documents must follow the 
application in order to receive assistance:

  Social Security Cards/Numbers for all members of  household.

  Birth Certificates for all members of household.

  Verification of Legal Identity for all members of the household.

  Picture ID  for all adults in household

  Proof of Declared preference for placement on waiting list Residency Preference – Family/Individual who live, work or have been hired to work or attend school in Dakota, Thurston, Dixon Counties in Nebraska; Sioux City, Iowa; Woodbury  County or Union County, South Dakota.  (This preference requires Applicant to provide a current active Lease with their name on it or a current local electric bill with their name & address, to prove permanent residency, or any other documentation as determined by SSCHA to verify permanent residency) or at least 60 days staying in a temporary residence such as a shelter. 

   Victims of Domestic Violence-This preference will be given residential priority due to the lack of shelter within the SSCHA’s jurisdiction if Applicant selects it on application.  This    preference is described as follows:

Involuntary Displacement- Involuntary Displaced applicants are applicants who have been involuntarily displaced and are not living in standard, permanent replacement housing, or will be involuntarily displaced within no more than six months from the date of verification by the PHA. (Applicant must qualify by supplying required documentation per HA policies)

**Incomplete applications will be held for 30 days in a pending file until the applicant supplies the appropriate information. All applications lacking, required documents by the time periods outlined will be canceled per HA Policies & HUD Regulations. **
